Ajay leads the Growing Matter Lab at the University of Manchester. His research develops computational methods — finite element formulations for large-deformation soft tissue, graph neural operators and surrogate models, and uncertainty quantification — and applies them to cardiovascular, ocular and soft-tissue mechanics, working with clinical and industrial partners.
